Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between you and VigilDog ("VigilDog", "we", "us", or "our"), the operator of the website at https://vigildog.com and the products described below. They apply whether you use our free single-check tools, a free account, or a paid subscription.

By creating an account, starting a free trial, subscribing to a paid plan, or otherwise using our service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

If you are using VigilDog on behalf of a company, agency, or other organization, you confirm that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.

VigilDog is a software as a service platform built for digital agencies and professionals. It continuously monitors web infrastructure and sends alerts before failures happen. Monitored areas include domain expiry, SSL and TLS certificates, DNS records and DNS drift, and email deliverability through SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records.

VigilDog only works with publicly available information about the domains you ask us to monitor. We read public records such as WHOIS and RDAP data, DNS records, SSL certificate metadata, and email authentication DNS records. We do not access private website content, files, or mailboxes.

We also offer free single-check tools for SSL, DMARC, DNS, and domain expiry that you can use without signing up, and we offer white-label PDF reports on eligible plans.

Separately, VigilDog Connectors is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that lets AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT operate advertising platforms with scoped, revocable permissions that are dry-run by default. VigilDog Connectors is currently in private beta, may change or be withdrawn, and additional terms or onboarding steps may apply to it.

To use most features you need an account. You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Google sign-in. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when you register, and to keep that information up to date. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and confidential, and for any activity that happens under your account.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, please contact us promptly at support@vigildog.com so we can help. We are not responsible for losses caused by someone using your account because you did not keep your credentials secure.

You agree to use VigilDog only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You are responsible for everything you do through the service.

• Only monitor domains that you own or in which you have a legitimate interest, such as domains belonging to clients you are authorized to work for.
• Do not use the service to abuse, overload, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to VigilDog, the systems we rely on, or any third party.
• Do not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the service, except to the limited extent that applicable law expressly permits.
• Do not use the service to break the law, infringe the rights of others, or send unsolicited or harmful communications.
• Use VigilDog Connectors responsibly. Only connect and operate advertising accounts that you are authorized to manage, review the actions an AI assistant proposes, and remember that actions are dry-run by default until you choose to apply them. You are responsible for the permissions you grant and for any changes that are applied to your connected accounts.

Our free single-check tools for SSL, DMARC, DNS, and domain expiry are provided for general information only, on an as-is basis, and without any signup.

We work hard to make these tools useful, but we do not guarantee that their results are accurate, complete, or current, and they are not a substitute for professional advice or for continuous monitoring. You use the free tools at your own discretion and risk.

VigilDog offers the following plans, with prices in US dollars and billed monthly: Free at $0 forever, which includes one monitored domain plus all free tools; Watchdog at $19 per month for up to 10 domains; Pack at $49 per month for up to 50 domains, including white-label reports; and Agency at $149 per month for up to 150 domains.

Paid plans include a 14-day free trial, and no card is required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your paid subscription begins automatically and renews each month until you cancel. Each renewal charges the plan fee for the next monthly period.

Payments are processed by Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), which acts as our Merchant of Record and authorized reseller. Paddle handles payment processing and the calculation and collection of any applicable sales tax or VAT. VigilDog never stores or processes full card numbers.

Prices shown may not include taxes, which may be added at checkout depending on your location. We may change our plans and prices from time to time. If we change the price of a plan you are subscribed to, we will give you advance notice, and the new price will apply to your next billing period after the notice. If you do not agree to a price change, you can cancel before it takes effect.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from inside the app. When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the current paid billing period, and it will not renew after that. You will not be charged again once a cancellation has taken effect.

After cancellation, your account may move to the Free plan or lose access to paid features, and monitoring limits may be reduced to match the plan you are on.

Because paid plans include a 14-day free trial with no card required to start, we encourage you to use the trial to decide whether VigilDog is right for you.

Any refunds are handled in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable law. Since Paddle is our Merchant of Record, refunds are processed through Paddle. Please review the Refund Policy for the details, and contact us at support@vigildog.com if you have questions.

Reliability is our mission, not a warranty. VigilDog monitoring is provided on a best-effort basis. We aim to detect problems early and to alert you in time, but we cannot guarantee that every issue will be detected, or that every alert will be delivered or arrive when you expect it.

We also do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, always available, or free of errors. The service depends on third parties and on public data sources that are outside our control, and these can change, fail, or return incomplete information.

You remain responsible for your own domains, certificates, DNS, and email configuration, and for taking action on the alerts and information we provide. VigilDog is a tool to help you stay ahead of failures, and it does not replace your own checks and safeguards.

VigilDog relies on and connects with third-party services, including the platforms you connect through VigilDog Connectors. When you connect an advertising account or other third-party account, you authorize VigilDog and the AI assistants you use to access and operate that account within the scopes you grant.

You are responsible for the actions taken in your connected accounts, including actions proposed by an AI assistant that you choose to apply. You can use scoped, revocable permissions and the dry-run-by-default behavior to review proposed changes before they take effect, and you can revoke access at any time.

Your use of any third-party platform is also subject to that platform's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or the consequences of changes made within them at your direction.

VigilDog, including the platform, the free tools, the website, our reports and templates, our software, and our name, logo, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service in line with these Terms.

You keep ownership of the content and data you provide, such as the list of domains you ask us to monitor and your account information. You grant us the permission we need to process that information in order to provide and improve the service. You may use white-label reports for your own business and clients, but you may not remove or misrepresent the ownership of the underlying software and platform.

The service, including all monitoring, alerts, free tools, reports, and the VigilDog Connectors beta, is provided on an as-is and as-available basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that it will be secure or error-free, or that any defect will be corrected.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VigilDog will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to the service or these Terms will not exceed the total amount of fees you paid to us for the service in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. If you have not paid us any fees, our total liability will not exceed one hundred US dollars.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless VigilDog and its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and reasonable expenses, including legal fees, that arise out of or relate to your use of the service, your content or monitored domains, your use of VigilDog Connectors and connected accounts, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

You may stop using the service at any time, and you can cancel your subscription or request account deletion from inside the app under Settings. When you request deletion, we confirm by email before permanently deleting your account, all of your monitored assets, and your alert history.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service if you breach these Terms, if your use creates a risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable and lawful, we will try to give you notice.

Sections that by their nature should survive termination, such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, will continue to apply after your account ends.

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect new features, legal requirements, or changes to how the service works. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

Your continued use of the service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, please stop using the service and, if you have a subscription, cancel it.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the service are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law rules. You agree that the courts located in India will have jurisdiction over such disputes, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
